Welcome

The goal of therapy is to remove the blind corners from your personality so that you are able to view yourself as capable and worthy of your own and others' love.

Sometimes it takes someone else to see these blind corners (after all, if you could see them they wouldn't be blind). These "corners" are what others see about us and find unappealling but are reluctant to talk about.  Your friends typically won't tell you because they don't want to lose you or else if they do tell you, they don't know how to say it in a way that you can hear.

These blind spots were necessary at one time because they helped you feel safe but now do not help you feel happy in your love and work.  You may now find them incompatable with whom you wish to be.  The challenge is how do you still feel capable while giving up your old ways of being and generating new ones?

At the heart of it, therapy is about your striving to face how you feel about your emotional experiences so you do not have to avoid or numb yourself to them.  Therapy is also about you being able to live with both your past and present experiences and feel more alive from them.

How do you know if you need therapy?

You may wonder if you should seek help with your stress.  If it has become harder to find peace of mind and if you are uncomfortable with the disruption this is causing you in your daily living, then you may want to to talk to someone about it.
